Process

Everything is a process.

It’s okay to feel like you aren’t being productive some days. You are in the process of restoring your body, fulfilling your wants, desires, or needs to rest. The rest that you need to function properly, to function at full potential the following day.
Pushing yourself past the limit for consecutive days is a formula for a meltdown, a breakdown, mentally and physically. Being burnt out is not worth always pushing yourself. You deserve a rest. You deserve a break. You are only human and that is okay. You don’t have to feel like you need to do everything because someone else may be able to do everything. You are not them, and they are not you. They are not in the same situation as you, nor you in theirs. You may be going through a time in your life where you aren’t able to do as much as you were last year, and that is perfectly fine. You are fine. You will make it through, and when you do, you will be better, and stronger than what you were last year.

You are in the process of getting stronger. You can’t be strong all the time, and that is okay.

You may feel like you have only dabbled in the project that you wanted to finish, but that is okay. You have made progress in your project, or whatever it is that you wanted to do.
It is okay for you to have a to-do list for every day of the week and not follow it completely.
Some days it will be easier to accomplish all the tasks on the list, and some days more difficult. But each day is different and you can’t expect your body and your mind to function in the exact same way that it did yesterday or even a few hours prior.

It’s like having a recipe, and expecting it to turn out exactly the same way.
To taste the same, to look the same, to feel the same, and to smell the same.
It is impossible to replicate something to be identical, and you can’t expect your body to function identically every day.

You are doing alright, you are exactly where you need to be. As long as you are going forward, you need to remember and accept that it’s okay to take your time.

Some days you run faster, but some days you get cramps. Sometimes the weather is clear, perfect temperature, no humidity, but some days it’s cold, it’s too hot, or it’s too humid.

You need to realize that you don’t live in a controlled setting, and you can only function the best of your abilities in the setting you are in.

You are not a lone being, you are social. The environment we live in is social, and sometimes occasions arise that require us to alter our plans.
We can’t plan for everything.

But despite all this, and accepting that you are not perfect and will not always accomplish your to-do list, you need to realize that you need to make sacrifices and not slack off. Acceptance is not a reason to slack. It is a reason to thrive. To understand yourself, your limits, and capabilities. But also at the same time, understand that you can push past what you can do, to test your limits and to expand and grow as a person.

To always strive to be a better version of yourself. Sometimes there are setbacks and that is okay. It is about finding a balance, and finding what works for you.

This is a remind to be good to yourself, because putting yourself down and being harsh to yourself takes a lot of effort and it only drains you of your energy. Energy that you could have invested in lifting yourself up, and those around you.
